Thanks a bunch for visiting Owl Cards. We hope you would have a pleasant experience browsing through our website. We wish to congratulate you for selecting a wise way to send your greeting card through us.
We wish to maintain a very clear relationship with our valued customers; thus kindly review our terms of engagement before you proceed.
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") set out your rights and obligations, and those of A & Orange World (Pvt) Ltd ("we" or "us"), in relation to this website, www.owlcards.lk (the "Website"), any Owl Cards application that you access (the "App") and associated Mobile applications are operated by us.
We are a company registered in Sri Lanka under registration number PV 92472 under the name A and Orange World (Pvt) Ltd; the address of our registered office is 53 B, Sinhapura Road, Chilaw. Our trading name is Owl Cards and our current trading address is Lotus Building, 275 Nawala, Nawala.
Please note that upon your successful registration with owl cards, you accept that you are entering into a contract with us under these Terms. People who register with Owl Cards establish an "Account", and become "Users". Visitors to Owl Cards Website who do not register with us, but who nevertheless use the Site or download the App, affirm that they are bound by these Terms each time they access Owl Cards Website.
If you do not agree to these Terms, we kindly request you to refrain from using this Website or its appropriate software.
Acceptance of your order
All orders and subscription requests received are subject to acceptance by A & Orange World (Pvt) Limited, and any of its personnel reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to reject any order without giving reasons. In the event of rejection, we will refund or cancel any payments received in full, via the payment method used to place the order.
We always recommend you to call us if you need to cancel or change your order – please dial or Hot line 0113 145 000; our customer services between our business hours (Monday – Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm). Please have your order number or the email address you registered with us available so we can answer your query as quickly as possible.
Emails are answered during business hours (Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm) in the order they are received. Please allow at least 3 hours for our team to view your email and please allow 12 hours to respond back to you. Thus it is possible that your order could begin production before your email is processed and we will be unable to make any changes requested in the email.
Please note that we can only cancel or amend your order before the order is printed thus we cannot grantee you a cancellation or amendment. However we do our best accommodate your request depend on the stage of the order processing. In case of cancellation of the order before printing we will have an administration charge to cover our bank commission loss of Rs.100/-
Prior to the checkout and at the checkout process you will be able to select the delivery date for your order delivery. If you did not select a delivery date your order will be processed according to the standard timelines given on the web site. Please note that we are not conducting deliveries on Sundays and Public Holidays in Sri Lanka.
We will need at least 24 hours’ notice to prepare your order please select your delivery date accordingly at the checkout.
Owl Cards provide Free Deliveries of its Greeting Cards to any part of Sri Lanka via standard post. Under the Free Postage Service; your greeting cards will be handled by Department of Post in Sri Lanka. For more information about Normal Domestic Post handled by Sri Lanka Post please click on the below link. http://www.slpost.gov.lk/domestic-mail/ If you use our Free Delivery Service please note that your product will be sent under normal post which is not a signed for. We are unable to provide delivery notifications for orders, as we cannot obtain proof of delivery under normal SL Post, however you will receive an email notification when your card is dispatched. Thus by using the Free Delivery Service you are agreeing to receive your product without a proof of delivery.
Once we handed over the card for Sri Lanka Post we have no control over the delivery time and according to their web site it could take up to 3 to 5 working days under their normal circumstances. Unfortunately SL Post does not offer a guaranteed delivery service, so we cannot guarantee the exact delivery date for you. Thus please check the delivery time carefully before you make a choice of your item delivery.
We are unable to send gift items or Greeting Cards ordered with the Gift Items under normal post thus Free Delivery Service will not be available for those products.
Therefore if you have a fix delivery date in mind, if you need proof of your delivery or if you want your product to be delivered fast we strongly recommend you use or courier service which comes at a small extra cost. The delivery chargers for the courier service will be depend of your address and post code which will be displayed separately at the checkout. We aim to deliver your products within 2 working days under the courier service. However if you have a very urgent delivery on the same day; we try to accommodate your requirement to the best of our ability. If this the case please contact our customer service team before you proceed with your order.
We accept any Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, PayPal, Mcash and Ezcash as well as bank transfers. In order to offer the best security, all of our credit and debit card payments are processed securely by Seylan Bank Secured Payment Gateway facility (https://www.seylan.lk/internet-payment-gateway.html) or, if selected as a payment option, PayPal (https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/home).
We never store or have access to your credit or debit card details.
In some occasions your payment will not reach us as your issuing bank will not authorise your payment; if this the case please contact your card issuing bank and instruct them to authorise the payment accordingly. We recommend our customers to check until the very last step whether the payment has being successfully taken and leave our site in order to avoid disappointments. Kindly note that we are unable to process your order without securing your payment. Once we secure your payment we will inform you via an email. In the case of Bank transfers; once you deposit your payment to our company bank account please email us at email@example.com in order to reconcile your payment and start processing your order.
In the case of only receiving the product fee but not the delivery charge for the courier we assume that you wish to use our standard free delivery service when handling your order.
Returns and Refunds
We maintain strict quality control measures when printing, packing and dispatching orders. While our cards are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in the same perfect condition as when they leave us, on a small number of occasions (and for reasons beyond our control) they may be damaged in transit. If, upon receiving your card(s), they are damaged or the printing is faulty, please contact us quoting your order number, so that we can arrange a free replacement at our next available delivery date. Please note that you will need to email us photos of the damaged item(s) within 72 hours of receipt of the product(s) in order to be eligible for a replacement, and we may ask for you to return the product(s) to us.
We will not offer any replacements if the card(s) are in a good condition but the content is wrong due to a mistake made when ordering.
b. Refunds and Returns
We are unable to provide refunds for any deliveries sent to the wrong location where an address is entered incorrectly on checkout.
We hope you understand once we issued a card we cannot reuse it upon your return like many other products thus once you request us to customise a card i.e upload images or texts and we are unable to accept a return if you to change your mind about it. The same applies to the gift items you purchased from us. However if there is a manufactural defect or wrong products being sent to you at our fault we will issue a full refund after receiving the faulty goods or wrong products from you. Please note that you need raise the refund request within 3 working days of receiving the goods and return the product to our business address; Lotus Building, 275, Nawala Road, Nawala.
Please understand that due to the nature of our print-to-demand model, we are only able to accept returns in the case of damage to the product in transit.
In certain cases, and at our sole discretion, we will offer a refund if a replacement is not possible. If you do receive a refund, we will refund you the total amount you paid for the product(s) plus any delivery charges you may have paid, within 3 working days of the day on which you provide us with evidence that the product(s) are faulty or wrong products being send. If we did not receive the faulty products (gift items) within 3 working days please note that we will not be proceed with your refund request. Please note that all the products has to be returned with its original packaging and undamaged, unused condition. You will receive an email confirmation of your refund having been processed, however please be aware that banks might take an additional 2-14 days to refund the amount to your card. Please note, it is not our policy to offer both a refund and a reprint/card credit.
Please note that it is at our sole discretion, to offer a refund or a replacement product. In a case of damage or faulty product we request to send the refund request with evidence to us within 3 working days from the date you have received the product. - • material that advocates illegal activity;
- • content we believe is abusive, deceptive, pornographic, obscene, defamatory, slanderous, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate;
- • material that, in any way, is harmful to minors; or
- • material that provides a link to any of the above.
- • if you violate our Terms or any other applicable regulations, guidelines or laws;
- • if your conduct is harmful to other Owl Cards users, our Owl Card’s services or third parties;
- • if you have not actively participated in the Services within the last 365 days as described under the ‘Your Account’ section.
Your request can only be acknowledged during office hours Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. We will require 3 to 5 working days to send you a details response regarding your refund request.
d. Design Errors
Card designs are printed as the customer sees them when placing an order. Any subsequent changes to the design will not affect an order after it has been placed. Therefore when it comes to customization products we strongly recommend our customers to check the proof before you authorize to proceed. Kindly note that Owl Cards will not be liable for any spelling or artistic mistake on the design itself, if the customer has not noted this before ordering. We may, however, at our sole discretion, offer to replace the design with a corrected version dependent on the creator’s co-operation in amending it. This will be done as soon as we are able to facilitate it, but cannot be guaranteed within a specific time frame.
e. Messages Added to the Inside of the Card
Please note we will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for any content written inside the card.
We give our customers the opportunity to send a gift message which we will write on their behalf inside the card and tag a gift card in the case of a Gift item. However if you have done a mistake sending your inside card message Owl Card will not be responsible for such errors.
Please note that our Terms and Conditions can be changed or updated at any time. We recommend that you check the Terms periodically for any updates we might make from time to time, as they are binding on you.
We may update the Site and mobile applications from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, we unable to guarantee that the Site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.
We assume and act upon the assumption that the information you input on your system is true and accurate thus will not be held liable for any errors occurred by our customers. It will be your responsibility to keep the secure information such as your log in details Private and confidential and must not disclose them to any third party.
We have the right to disable any accounts at any given time.
None Reliance on Information
The content on the Site is provided for general information only. Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on the Site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on the Site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by Law in Sri Lanka. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to the Site or any content on it, whether express or implied.
We will not be liable to any user for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with: use of, or inability to use, the Site; or use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Site. Please note that in particular, we will not be liable for: loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue; business interruption; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.
We assume no responsibility for the content of websites linked on the Site. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by us of those linked websites. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
Intellectual Property Rights
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from the Site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on the Site. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on the Site must always be acknowledged.
We do not guarantee that the Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access the Site. You should use your own virus protection software. You must not misuse the Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which the Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Site. You must not attack the Site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. You may link to any page on our site, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. You must not establish a link to the Site in any website that is not owned by you. The Site must not be framed on any other site. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. These Terms are governed by Law in Sri Lanka and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
Owl Cards respects the intellectual property (IP) rights of others and expects users of the services to do the same. We will respond to notices sent to our registered office in respect of alleged copyright infringement in connection with the Services.
If you are to believe that your content has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide us with the following information:
a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email address;
a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
